Man In 60s Drowns At Oakland Beach In Warwick

Police said a man was pulled from the water Monday night and transported to Kent Hospital.

WARWICK, RI — A man was pulled from the water at Oakland Beach at around 7:30 p.m. Monday night.

Warwick police said that the man, who was in his 60s, drowned. CPR was performed and the man was transported to Kent Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police did not immediately release the name of the drowning victim, and said more information will be released later.
