Man Arrested For Arson In Warwick House Fire
Carlos Figueroa Otiz, 28, is accused of burning down the house he lived in at 50 Evergreen Ave.

WARWICK, RI — A Warwick man accused of burning down the house he lived in has been arraigned on a first-degree arson charge and ordered held without bail.
Wednesday night at around 8:15 p.m., police and fire responded to 50 Evergreen Ave. and arrived to find a single-family home fully engulfed in flames. All of the residents made it out safely and there were no injuries.

Carlos Figueroa Ortiz, 28, was arrested following a joint investigation by the Warwick police and fire departments. In a news release, the Warwick Police Department said Ortiz was a resident of the house that burned.
Ortiz made his initial appearance in Kent County District Court this morning. His next court date is set for June 24. Police released no further information.
