Serious Crash Briefly Knocks Out Power To Thousands In Warwick

Several thousand people briefly lost power in the Buttonwoods area.

WARWICK, RI - A serious crash on West Shore Road in Warwick briefly knocked out power to about 3,000 Warwick residents Thursday morning.

The crash happened around 7:20 a.m. at the intersection of West Shore Road and Buttonwoods Avenue, closing the street heading into Apponaug. Power was knocked out to about 3,000 residents for about five minutes.
