Providence Cop & Wife Charged With Lifting From Warwick Lowe's
William Dickie II and Tara Uciferro of Cranston allegedly stole an air conditioner and R30 insulation from the home improvement store.

WARWICK, RI — A Cranston couple are each charged with one count of misdemeanor shoplifting after they allegedly left a Lowe's Home Improvement in Warwick without paying for their merchandise.
William Dickie II, 39, and his wife, Tara Uciferro, 47, turned themselves in to the Warwick Police Department on June 23, Warwick Police Captain Ryan Sornberger said in a news release.

Dickie is an officer with the Providence Police Department, Warwick Police Chief Bradford Connor confirmed to Patch. GoLocalProv reported today that Dickie has been suspended from the Providence department and is the subject of internal review.

WARWICK POLICE
Warwick police on June 6 were contacted by Lowe's Asset Protection. The corporate security team reported that a man and a woman had stolen from the store at 555 Greenwich Ave. Police said two suspects were clearly seen on the camera surveillance system as they wheeled shopping carts out the door. It's alleged that Dickie had R30 insulation in his cart worth $65.98, and that Uciferro had a window air conditioner worth $379.

WARWICK POLICE
Both were booked and released with a summons to appear for arraignment in Kent County District Court on Thursday at 10:30 a.m., Warwick police said.
