Warwick Firefighters Plan Family-Friendly Easter Bunny Event
The famous rabbit was caught stealing carrots and agreed to community service, firefighters said on Facebook.
WARWICK, RI — The Easter Bunny will make a pre-holiday appearance in Warwick to greet local families, rub elbows with first responders, and perform a little community service.
"We found this guy trying to steal some carrots last night, he begged for a break," Warwick Firefighters said on Facebook while posting a "mug shot" of the famous rabbit. To avoid prosecution, the bunny agreed to help distribute treats with firefighters.

Firefighters will escort the Easter Bunny to the Community College of Rhode Island on Wednesday, March 31 and host a drive-through event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. "We will be passing out some treats and there will be plenty of trucks and cruisers for the little ones to check out as you drive through," firefighters said.
Families are asked to enter the college parking lot from East Street, follow the coned-off lanes through the event, and exit through the back entrance to Commonwealth Avenue.
