Warwick Police Identify Body Found Floating In Greenwich Bay
Police and fire personnel responded April 28 to the beach at the end of Nausauket Road for reports of a body in the water.

WARWICK, RI — First responders Wednesday at around 7 a.m. responded to the beach at the end of Nausauket Road for a body found floating 50 yards offshore in Greenwich Bay.
The Warwick Fire Department retrieved the male victim and brought him to shore. James D. Kimball, 49, of the Nausauket area of Warwick, was pronounced dead at Kent County Memorial Hospital, Warwick Police Capt. Ryan Sornberger said in a news release.
Witnesses in the area reported that the man was previously seen digging for quahogs.

The cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner. However, the incident does not appear to be suspicious, Sornberger said.
