Warwick Ranked 14th-Safest City In the United States
Vivint Home Security compiles the top-twenty list every year. Warwick has one police officer for every 390 residents, the company noted.

WARWICK, RI — Warwick has been named the 14th safest city in the United States for 2021.
The annual ranking comes from Vivint Home Security.
“The waterfront community of Warwick is filled with history and maritime activities for residents to enjoy,” Vivint stated. “The city employs a law enforcement officer for every 390 residents, one of the best ratios on our list. As a result, Warwick has the lowest robbery rate on our Top 20 list and is second on our list for violent crime rate.”

The company says it analyzes violent and property crime data from the FBI along with economic indicators from the U.S. Census Bureau to compile its annual top-20 list.

Vivent says there seems to be a correlation between "communities showing positive growth in income, high rates of education and low levels of unemployment" with those showing violent crime and property crime rates lower than the national average.
Irvine, California was ranked as the safest city in the U.S. Franklin, Massachusetts won the number-two honor. Plano, Texas; Pearl City, Hawaii; and Fremont, California were ranked three, four, and five. Burlington, Vermont took the #6 spot. Also in New England, Nashua, New Hampshire was ranked 10th.
Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont once again emerged as the nation’s safest states.
