Man Killed, Woman Critically Injured In Westerly Motorcycle Crash
A pickup truck and motorcycle collided Saturday. The motorcyclist was killed and his female passenger was airlifted to RI Hospital.
WESTERLY, RI — A motorcycle and pickup truck collided Saturday evening at Shore and Langworthy Roads. The crash took the life of the motorcyclist and left his female passenger with life-threatening injuries.
Police on April 24 received a call at 7:09 p.m. and rushed to the scene. They administered first aid until Westerly Ambulance and Dunns Corner Fire arrived. The male motorcyclist was transported to Westerly Hospital where he was declared dead. The female passenger was transported by ambulance to the Walmart parking lot where a Life Star Medical Helicopter had landed. She was flown to the trauma unit at Rhode Island hospital.

The operator of the pickup truck was not hurt and is cooperating in the investigation, Westerly Police said. The accident is under investigation by the Westerly Police Accident Reconstruction Team. The names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
