Rhode Island voters recently approved a $74 million green issue that would improve state parks, beaches, and campgrounds. As part of the plan, new facilities could go up at Roger Wheeler State Beach, Scarborough State Beach, Colt State Park, and at other park and beach locations.

McKee's budget plan would also raise parking fees at Narragansett State Beach to help raise money to maintain and improve state park, beach, and recreation facilities.
