Psychedelic Mushrooms Seized In Westerly Traffic Stop

WESTERLY, RI — Westerly police arrested a teenager on Tuesday and seized 30 ounces of marijuana, 28 grams of mushrooms packaged for sale, and 81 THC cartridges of the type used in vape pens, said Police Chief Shawn Lacey.

The drugs were seized following a motor vehicle stop. Ruben Britos, 18, of 176 Middle St. in Preston, Connecticut was placed under arrest, a police log shows. Britos was charged with one count of possession with intent to deliver marijuana and two counts of possession of a Schedule 1 drug.
