Westerly Police Arrest Florida Man And Seize Cocaine

WESTERLY, RI — Westerly police on Monday afternoon seized 65 grams of uncut cocaine during a Post Road traffic stop. Once cut, the cocaine would have a street value of approximately $20,000, said Police Chief Shawn Lacey.

Richard Maldonado Jr. of Orange Park, Florida was arrested on March 8 and charged with one count of possession with intent to deliver cocaine. He was arraigned on the felony charge Tuesday at the 4th Division District Court in Wakefield and held pending a status hearing.
