Woman, 74, Dead After Double Shooting In West Warwick
Police found the woman dead in her home, and a 74-year-old man was found injured.
WEST WARWICK — A 74-year-old woman is dead and a 74-year-old man is injured following a double shooting inside a home.
At around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, members of the West Warwick Police Department responded to a home at River Farms Drive to investigate reports of a shooting. The West Warwick/Coventry Regional SWAT team was activated.

Inside, police found a woman who had been shot. She was declared dead at the scene. A man, also shot, was transported to the hospital where he remained f0r treatment of his injuries, the West Warwick Police Department said in a news release.
Police said the incident is under investigation and that there is no threat to public safety.
