Autumnfest Grand Marshal Reception Planned for Sept. 29

Paul and Lorraine Jacob will be honored at this year’s Autumnfest Grand Marshal reception on Sept. 29.

The Autumnfest Steering Committee, the Woonsocket Rotary Club and Woonsocket Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt invite the public to come to the reception, which will be held at St. Ann Arts and Cultural Center at 84 Cumberland St.

Paul Jacob is the owner of Jacob’s Video and Sound, the company that has provided audio services and filmed performances at Autumnfest for years. He also served on the Autumnfest Steering Committee and was a former Autumnfest chairman, as well as the festival’s entertainment chairman.

Lorraine Jacob has been an asset to Autumnfest over the years buy selling thousands of buttons. She was also the queen of the Northern Rhode Island Council for the Arts 2002 Mardi Gras ball.

The event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. and a cash bar and food will be served.

Donations for the Autumnfest Grand Marshal Reception are $15.00 per person, $25.00 per couple. Tickets will be available at the door or by calling Linda Plays at 401-263-8317 or Jeff Gamache at 401-769-6925.
