1.The 43rd annual Autumnfest Parade will return to Woonsocket this fall after taking a hiatus in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event is scheduled to take place Monday, October 11 on Diamond Hill Road and Social Street and is currently accepting applications from schools, groups, and organizations that wish to participate in this year's parade. 2. Pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinics are coming to seven Navigant Credit Union branches across Rhode Island within the next few weeks. The clinics will be set up in the parking lot outside the banks and will be open to all eligible residents. (Patch)

3. Several freshwater beaches at Rhode Island summer camps are closed to swimming due to high bacteria levels. The closure includes the beaches at Camp Hoffman and Kingston Camp on Larkin Pond in Kingston and Camp Canoncicus in Exeter. (Patch)
4. Rhode Island lawmakers have approved legislation that allows students to bring sunscreen to school. The bill exempts sunscreen from rules surrounding medications in schools, which can only be administered by the school nurse. (Patch)
5. The Atlantic Shark Institute has tagged a great white shark in Rhode Island waters for the second time in the last month. The shark was tagged on July 3 in Point Judith. (NBC 10 News)
