Learn African and American Traditions at Family Storytelling Concerts in Woonsocket
The 17th annual Funda Fest will be held at Woonsocket Harris Public Library and YWCA Rhode Island.

Celebrate African and American traditions through a family storytelling concert at two separate locations in Woonsocket.
Funda means “to teach and to learn” in the African languages Zulu and Kiswahil. The Rhode Island Black Storytellers Association will use the 17th annual Funda Fest to teach other about various traditions.

Woonsocket Harris Public Library
The event is free and will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 20, the day after Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Stop by the Woonsocket Harris Public Library, 303 Clinton St., from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The program is for people of all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
YWCA Rhode Island
Stop by YWCA Rhode Island, 514 Blackstone St. for another celebration of Funda Fest.
The family storytelling concert will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public.
