WOONSOCKET, RI — She's the one that loved you first, but mom is much more than that. She’s a friend, a teacher, a counselor, a shoulder to cry on — and maybe one of the toughest women you’ve ever met.
We asked Patch readers in more than 1,000 communities to tell us what their moms mean to them. Nearly 200 people responded, paying tribute not just to moms but sometimes to grandmas, sisters and daughters who deserve recognition for Mother’s Day 2021.

Happy Mother's Day! Thank You doesn't seem like enough to say after everything you have done for me growing up an even now, I can't say enough good things about the best mom in the entire Galaxy. The things you do for me and your grandchildren is WAY beyond just saying thank You Mom. You are truly the Best most Amazing mother any women could ask for. Even at 34 yrs young i still need my momma and will ALWAYS need you mom. I love you so very much mom you are and have always been the wonderwomen to mothers! Thank You so much fof always having my back and being here for me and your grand daughters. You always tell me I'm a great mom but ive learned from the best mom. You will always be my number one mom.
