New DMV To Open In Woonsocket
The new DMV in Woonsocket is expected to better address the needs of Rhode Island motorists.
WOONSOCKET, RI — The newly relocated branch of the Woonsocket Division of Motor vehicles branch is set to open on Jan. 14, according to reports. The new location is in the Diamond Hill Plaza at 2000 Diamond Hill Road.
Its hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays, WJAR reported. It's expected to be easily accessible by RIPTA buses and offers over 50 parking spaces dedicated to DMV goers.
"It's bigger, it's easier to find," said DMV spokesperson Paul Grimaldi on Monday, according to a WPRI report.

WJAR reports the current Pond Street location will close early Friday, Jan. 11 to make the move smoother.
