Obituary: Isabelle L. (Clement) Monahan, 90, Loved Family Time on Sundays

Isabelle “Belle” (Clement) Monahan, 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 18, 2016 at Oakland Grove HHC, Woonsocket. Belle was the daughter of William and Lea (Giguere) Clement. She was also the beloved wife of the late Reginald Monahan.

A devout Catholic, she was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Woonsocket. Belle worked most of her life as a seamstress, but then before retiring, she also worked for A T Cross, Lincoln. Belle loved dancing, family parties, and yard work, but above all she loved spending time with her children at family gatherings on Sundays!

She is survived by her daughter Carol Chasse, and her husband Dale of Woonsocket, and her son, Larry Monahan and his wife Debbie of North Smithfield. Also, her grandchildren, Carrie Sullivan of Cumberland, and Kelly Carreiro of Woonsocket and her great grandchildren, Skylah and Caden Sullivan and Kendall and Kane Carreiro. Also, her brother Hector Clement and his wife Jackie; along with many loving nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her sister Theresa (Clement) Belisle and her brother Lionel Clement.
Calling hours will be at the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St. Woonsocket on: Monday, August 22,2016 from 4 - 7 PM.

Friends and family will gather Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 9 AM in the Holt Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, 1200 Mendon Road, Woonsocket. Burial will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, 314 Wrentham Rd., Bellingham, MA.
