Obituary: Juliette T. Kalenkiewicz, 96, of Woonsocket

Juliette T. (Pouliot) Kalenkiewicz of Woonsocket passed away peacefully at Oakland Grove Health Care Center on Saturday, Nov. 29.

Kalenkiewicz, 96, was born in Winnipegosis, Canada on June 27, 1918. She is the wife of the late John W. Kalenkiewicz.

Kalenkiewicz was the daughter of the late Omer Pouliot and Elmina Pouliot and the twin sister of Stella Bonin of Pawtucket and sibling of the the late Joseph Pouliot , Ernest Pouliot , Willie Pouliot , Adelard Pouliot , Gabrielle Pouliot and Yvette Durocher.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews.

Kalenkiewicz moved to Central Falls at 5 years old and lived in Bellingham for over 40 years, according to Kalenkiewicz’s obituary on Cartier’s Funeral Home website.

Kalenkiewicz worked at many area mills and retired as a spinner at ACS after 15 years in 1989.

She was a communicant of Assumption Church and St. Joseph’s Church and a member of the Council on Again in Bellingham and the Polish Club, according to her obituary.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Dec 4. at Cartier’s Funeral Home, 151 S. Main St. in Bellingham, MA.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 1200 Mendon Road. Visiting time is from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the funeral home prior to Mass.

Interment will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, 310 Wrentham Road in Bellingham, MA.
