Obituary: Rolad G. Ducharme, 61, Engineer, Golfer, Hiker

Roland G. Ducharme, 61, of Woonsocket, died July 27, 2016 in Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of Rita M. (Carpentier) Ducharme of Woonsocket and the late Wilfrid Ducharme.

A 1973 graduate of Mt. St. Charles, Roland worked as an Engineer for Waters Associates in Milford, MA. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and hiking.

Besides his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Stacey Johnson and her husband Gregory of Johnston and Stephanie Cooper and her husband Brian of Attleboro, two sisters, Janet Allard and Denise Guertin, both of North Smithfield, three grandchildren, Marcus and Mia Cooper and Thomas Johnson as well as his former wife, Estelle Borucki of Norton, MA.

His funeral will be held Sunday, July 31, 2016 beginning with visitation at 2 PM, followed by a service at 5 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
