A pickup truck hit a utility pole, pulled down live wires and trapped a mother and two children in their car for half an hour: WJAR-TV.

WOONSOCKET, RI — A pickup truck hit a utility pole, pulled down live wires and trapped a mother and two children in their car for half an hour, according to WJAR-TV. The accident happened Friday night on Social Street. Live wires fell on the car's roof, and National Grid had to cut power before the car could move. No one was injured. WPRI-TV said power was knocked out for about 20 minutes, and some 10,000 were affected. The power is fully restored now. The pickup truck driver is suspected of Driving under the influence. Click here for Channel 12's story.
