Police Capture Suspect In Woonsocket Homicide

Police say the suspect was captured on Pleasant Street in Pawtucket.

WOONSOCKET, RI — Woonsocket police have captured a suspect in connection with the murder of 43-year-old Adam Castonguay, reported NBC 10 WJAR.

Castonguay was found shot to death in his apartment at 41 Village Road at approximately 1:30 a.m. Thursday, said police. A medical examiner ruled his death a homicide.

The department announced later in the day that they had captured a suspect in connection with the murder on Pleasant Street in Pawtucket in a vehicle.

Police say they a female caller contacted them to report two adult males fighting inside the apartment, at which time they found Castonguay injured on the kitchen floor.

The suspect's identity has not been released and the incident remains under investigation.
