Boston Surface Railroad Company will launch commuter service between Woonsocket and Providence in Rhode Island, Worcester in Massachusetts.

WOONSOCKET, RI — Boston Surface Railroad Company is launching an express service between Providence, Woonsocket and the Massachusetts city of Worcester. The intercity passenger railroad company has also recently unveiled its first bus that will be used as part of this expanded service. Four more motorcoaches will be added before the new service starts in February, company officials say.
"As part of our commitment to the City of Woonsocket and to those traveling to these underserved cities, we are pleased to offer the first wave of express passenger service," said Boston Surface Railroad Company President Vincent Bono. "Our plan is to launch motorcoach service in mid-February 2020, with an eye toward launching our rail service by the fourth quarter of 2020. We look forward to continuing our promise to commuters."
The company's first motorcoach is remaining at the historic Woonsocket train station. When four additional motorcoaches are launched, two will be stationed in Worcester, and three will be stationed in Woonsocket.
