From the Founders Academy: Founders Academy students will be performing scenes and excerpts from Shakespeare’s "As You Like It" under the direction of Founders’ Visiting Artist and Theatre Teacher, from the GAMM Theatre, Jessica Corsentino. This event is sponsored by the Woonsocket Parks and Recreation Department.
Shakespeare in the Park will take place at the WWII Memorial Park on Social Street in Woonsocket, on Thursday, June 7th at 6pm. Rain date is June 14th.
This event is free and open to the public. Families and children are welcome. Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets, and enjoy Shakespeare under the summer sky.

A note to the public: Beacon Charter Schools’ Chalk Art Festival, which was originally scheduled for May 19th, has been rescheduled to Sunday, June 10th. The Chalk Art Festival will take place at River Island Park in Woonsocket from 9am-2pm.
