Staff Absences, Not Snow, Closed Woonsocket Schools Friday
School Supt. Patrick McGee posted the news on the school's website.

WOONSOCKET, RI—While many other Rhode Island schools opened late Friday, due to the snow storm, Woonsocket schools were closed all day. The reason was due to staff absences. The superintendent said the school wouldn't have been safe with so many staff members out. It wasn't feasible to bring in enough substitutes.
Patch tried to reach Dr. McGee on Friday, but he was in meetings.
School cancelled in the WED Friday, November 16, 2018 due to excessive staff absences.
