Thanksgiving Football: Woonsocket Travels To Cumberland

WOONSOCKET, RI — The Woonsocket High football team will be hoping to cap a remarkable turnaround season in style when the Villa Novans host Cumberland on Thanksgiving morning. Game time is 10 a.m.

Woonsocket started the season at 0-3, but has gone on to win seven straight games, including a 7-6 victory against previously unbeaten East Greenwich, and a 28-0 triumph against Mount Pleasant on Sunday for its second straight state title.

Cumberland will take a 5-4 record into the final and is coming off a 35-6 triumph against Barrington on Nov. 15.
