Wedding Announcement: Alyson Picard And Jason Marzini
Despite the pandemic upending their initial plans, the couple had a special ceremony with family and firends in March.

WOONSOCKET, RI — Jason Marzini and Alyson Picard were set to be married on Memorial Day Weekend, 2020 on Narragansett Beach, accompanied by a small gathering of family and friends.
Aly is the daughter of Mary and Ernest "Pete" Picard of Woonsocket. J is the son of Harold "Jack" Marzini of Cumberland and Suzanne Pontbriand of Woonsocket. Both grew up in Woonsocket.
J and Aly have been planning their wedding since 2018. They always thought it funny that they were so "ahead of schedule." Their dream beach wedding became a reality when they rented the North Beach Clubhouse in Narragansett.

They were all set with planning by the summer of 2019. They hired DJ Buddy D, were making finishing touches on wedding attire, and spoke with friends to be their wedding officiant and photographer. Their families helped with preparations. Aly's father, Pete, and his ex-business partner Lil, were set to be their wedding flower designers (they used to own NYS Flowers Inc.). Sunflowers, ALL the sunflowers! By March, Aly and J's basement was filled with half-completed decorations, centerpiece trials and glue-gun spider webs.
They initially planned for a smaller gathering of family and friends, but had no idea what the universe had in mind!

After the shutdown in March, Aly and J decided to fast-forward to their wedding. Surrounded by only ten members of their family and others socially distancing from the next-door driveway, they were married on March 28th, 2020 in Aly's parents' backyard. Aly's mother, Mary, decorated her backyard with sunflowers and balloons for their special day. J's daughters, Emily and Jasmine, were the photographers. Aly's father, Pete, designed a small bouquet of sunflowers for Aly, and walked her down the "aisle." It was a very special moment for all.
Aly received two wedding rings during their vows: one from her husband, and the other from her two step-children, Delinea and Aiden.
All of Aly and J's May wedding plans were cancelled, as well as Aly's bridal shower. Once the world is safe again, they are hoping to plan a celebration and invite all of their family and friends.
