Woonsocket Department Of Public Works Hiring For Multiple Jobs

WOONSOCKET, RI — The City of Woonsocket Department of Public Works has multiple employment opportunities available, with all applications due by Friday, June 25.

The city's Highway & Parks Division is currently hiring a Laborer and Medium Equipment Operator. Both positions require experience in heavy manual work and applicants for the latter position must possess a CDL and hoisting engineering license to operate a backhoe.

The division has an additional open position for a Shop Maintenance Person to maintain and service equipment, assist with repairs, and do inventory.

The Public Works Department is also seeking seasonal workers to help with the maintenance of roads, parks, and other outdoor areas. These positions require heavily lifting and applicants must be at least 16 years old.
