Woonsocket Man To Serve 3 Years For Possessing Child Pornography
Investigators say 39-year-old Jason P. Muschiano had over 50,000 images and 200 videos of child pornography in his possession.

WOONSOCKET, RI — A Woonsocket man will serve three-and-a-half years in federal prison for possessing over 50,000 images and 200 videos of child pornography, said U.S. Attorney Richard B. Myrus in a news release.
Investigators say child pornography in the possession of Jason P. Muschiano, 39, was uncovered during an investigation conducted by the Rhode Island State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force in 2018. Detectives observed an IP address sharing child pornography files that was later linked to Muschiano.
In 2019, members of the task force executed a court-authorized search of Muschiano’s home, during which he admitted to downloading and viewing child pornography of children ages three, four, and five. A forensic audit of digital storage devices in the home led to the discovery of thousands of illegal images.
