Woonsocket Mass Vaccination Site To Slow Operations
The site will begin reducing staff and first-dose appointments next weekend.

WOONSOCKET, RI — The COVID-19 mass vaccination site in Woonsocket is set to begin slowing down operations in the next few weeks, said the Rhode Island Department of Health Thursday.
The vaccination site, located at the former Sears store in the Walnut Hill Plaza at 1500 Diamond Road, is one of the first state-run vaccination sites that will begin to phase out vaccine appointments.
According to health officials, the South County site at Schneider Electric in West Kingston will be the first to begin slowing operations this weekend, followed by the Woonsocket site next weekend. This means staff will be reduced and there will be fewer first-dose appointments available.
