Woonsocket Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt To Seek Reelection

WOONSOCKET, RI — Woonsocket Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt publicly announced on Monday that she plans to seek another term.

"I am excited to announce my candidacy for re-election as mayor and to continue serving our great city of Woonsocket," she said in a statement. "Together, we have made significant progress and I look forward to sharing with you some exciting announcements in the near future."

Baldelli-Hunt edged out former Council President Albert Brien in her last reelection bid in 2018 with 57.7 percent of the vote to Brien's 41.1 percent. She is seeking a fourth, two-year term as mayor.

The statewide primary will be held Sept. 8 with the general election on Nov. 3.
