Woonsocket Police Officer Shot, Suspect In Custody
An officer was shot in the leg, and a suspect is in custody, police confirmed.

WOONSOCKET, RI-- Police confirm a suspect is in custody in connection with the shooting of an officer. A SWAT Team on Monday morning moved into a parking lot on Social Street where the suspect was tracked. Earlier, an officer was wounded in the leg, according to WPRO Radio and other news outlets.
The police department told Patch no names are being released yet, and police are still working on the case.
