Woonsocket School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School And More

WOONSOCKET, RI — The first day of school in Woonsocket is August 29 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Woonsocket School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 9/12: No School (Statewide Primary Election Day)

• 10/11: Parent Teacher Conference (WHS/WACTC)
• 10/18: Parent Teacher Conference (WMS)

November

• 11/6: No School (Election Day)
• 11/12: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/22 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/6: Parent Teacher Conference (Elementary)
• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
• 1/16 - 1/17: Early Release (WHS/WACTC Only)

February

• 2/18 - 2/22: No School (Winter Recess)

March

• 3/7: Parent Teacher Conference (WMS)
• 3/18: Parent Teacher Conference (WHS/WACTC)
• 3/18: Parent Teacher Conference (Elementary)

April
