Woonsocket Shooting Victim Seriously Injured: Police

WOONSOCKET, RI — An overnight shooting in Woonsocket left one person seriously injured, police said.

The incident happened early Wednesday morning, just after midnight, in the 100 block of Logee Street. The victim, a 33-year-old Woonsocket resident, was found behind a home, suffering a gunshot injury.

The victim was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery. He is believed to be in critical condition, police said.
