Over 200,000 people are without power in South Carolina due to Hurricane Dorian, 195,532 of which are customers of Berkeley and Dominion.
ACROSS SOUTH CAROLINA — Stormy weather from Hurricane Dorian continues to slam South Carolina Thursday morning, and 220,618 customers are now without power in the Palmetto State.
A majority of the outages are in the cities of Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester, with customers of Berkeley Electric Cooperative and Dominion Energy making up 195,532 of the total who are without power in South Carolina.
Dominion Energy has 148,722 customers currently without power, and Berkeley Electric Cooperative currently has 46,810 without power, according to Poweroutage.us.

Dominion Energy is the second-largest electrical provider in South Carolina, serving over 745,000 people.
Santee Electric Coop, Santee Cooper, Horry Electric Cooperative and Coastal Electric Cooperative also all have thousands of customers without electricity within the state.
