Woman Cut, Forced To Eat Food Off Floorboard Of Car: Authorities

SPARTANBURG, SC — A man accused of cutting a woman with a knife and forcing her to eat food food off the floorboard of a car was arrested by deputies in Spartanburg County.

A woman told deputies she picked up Jesus Emmanuel Resendis, 27, from a friend's house on Thanksgiving. He argued with her about embarrassing him in front of his friends and cut her on the arm with a knife, the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

She then spilled leftovers she was holding, and Resendis told her to eat the food off the floorboard or he would cut her throat, the release said.

Resendis hopped into the driver's seat, drove off and wrecked the car, the woman said.

Resendis faces several charges, including domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.
