Charleston area students Margaret Bray and Aidan Roff were among the 31 South Carolina students selected to win a $50 Kohl's gift card through the Kohl's Cares Scholarship Program.
The program recognizes youth that make positive impacts on their communities through volunteer work. More than 2,300 young people across the United States are being recognized through the program this year with gift cards.
Each of the students also qualifies for a chance to receive a $1,000 regional scholarship for higher education. Additionally 10 national winners will be selected from the regional scholarship recipients to receive a total of $10,000 in scholarship funds, and Kohl's will donate $1,000 to a non-profit organization on behalf of each national scholarship recipient.
Regional and national scholarship recipients will be announced in July.
