Baby Veronica Coming Home to Charleston

Child embroiled in custody dispute reunited with Charleston adoptive family.

The four-year-old child known locally as Baby Veronica has been reunited with her adoptive family and will be returning to the Charleston area, according to media reports.

In Oklahoma Monday night, the young girl's father handed the child over to Matt and Melanie Capobianco of James Island. The couple had vowed not to return home until they had custody of the child, according to the AP.

The couple said they felt free now to return to South Carolina, but there was no indication when they would come back to the  Lowcountry.
