Bishops Drop Championship Series Opener to Chesnee
A couple of late inning runs lifted Chesnee over Bishop England the opening game of the State AA Championship series

After plating a run in the sixth inning to break a scoreless tie, Bishop England gave up two late runs to drop the first game in the best-of-three State AA Championship series to Chesnee.
The Eagles took the lead away in the wild bottom half of the same inning. The tying run came from Colton Grant who singled, then advanced to second on a wild pitch. He scored on Drew Fisher's double, though Fisher was caught trying to turn it into a triple for the second out of the inning, the Post and Courier reports (subscription required). The next batter Jimmy Yoos got to first on a single and then to second on an error before he was knocked in for the winning score on a single from Jimmy Yelton.
The Bishops lone run came from Jonathan Browning who led the inning off with a double. He advanced to third during a botched pick-off attempt, and scored on a fly-out off of Zack Madden's bat.
