F-16 Fighter Jet In Mid-Air Collision With Small Plane
Parts and debris rained down over South Carolina.

An F-16 fighter jet collided with a Cessna 150C private jet over South Carolina on Tuesday, according to multiple media reports.
The Federal Aviation Administration said that the collision occurred around 11 a.m. about 11 miles north of Charleston.
The National Transportation Safety Board confirmed that there were two aboard the small Cessna plane that collided with the fighter jet who were killed.

Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter released a statement confirming that the F-16 came from its base.
The release said that the F-16 pilot safely ejected but added that ”Our thoughts are with the friends and family of anyone aboard the civilian aircraft.”

The crashed caused debris to fall near Charleston. If you see any debris in your area, officials are asking you to call 9-1-1 to report it.
Officials say no injuries have been reported from falling debris.
