Deputies with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office handled 40 traffic accidents and charged five people DUIs July 3 - 5, according to a statement.
All of the collisions and arrests occurred between 12:01 a.m. July 3, and 9:30 a.m. July 5. Three people were charged with DUI and deputies responded to 14 crashes on July 4 alone, according to the CCSO statement.
