City Of Charleston: Memorial Day Modified Garbage And Trash Collection Schedule

The city of Charleston will be closed on Monday, May 31st in observance of Memorial Day. In order to provide service to all residents in a timely manner, garbage and trash collection will take place on the modified schedule outlined below:

For residents of Daniel Island and Cainhoy (serviced by Capital Waste): Collection will take place on a normal schedule.

For residents of outer West Ashley and Johns Island (formally serviced by Carolina Waste and now Trident Waste): Collection will take place on a one-day delay the week of the 31st.

For residents of the Peninsula, inner West Ashley and James Island (serviced by city crews): Collection will take place on a one-day delay the week of the 31st.
