Crime Stoppers Tip Leads to Vandalism Arrest
A Columbia man has been charged in connection with the destruction of a fountain on Radcliffe Street.

Based on a tip to Crime Stoppers, the Charleston Police Department charged a Columbia man in connection with the June 1 destruction of a downtown fountain.
George Michael Kirkpatrick, 25, of Long Pointe Lane, Columbia, is charged with damage to personal property over $5000, according to a CPD statement.Â
On June 1, a Radcliffe Street resident found the fountain in his front yard destroyed with pieces of it strewn across the lawn and in a pond in the front yard, according to the statement.
Kirkpatrick is being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
