The six Democrats competing in the special election for Senate District 42 will debate on Tuesday evening at Trident Technical College.
Patch will stream the event, sponsored by the South Carolina Democratic Party, just prior to the 7 p.m. starting time.

Emmanuel Ferguson, Herbert Fielding, Marlon Kimpson, Margaret Rush, Bob Thompson and Maurice Washington are all scheduled to attend. WCBD's Carolyn Murray will serve as moderator.

The special election was required when former Sen. Robert Ford resigned amid an ethics investigation.
Election Day is next Tuesday, August 13.
The debate will take place at the Conference Center at Main Campus, in the Complex for Economic Development, 7000 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC.
