End of the Rainbow: Judy Garland's Final Days

A savagely funny, deeply moving play with music detailing the end of Judy Garland's life.

End of the Rainbow by Peter Quilter runs April 28 - May 15 at the Midtown Theater. Presented as part of the North Charleston Arts Festival.

Plot synopsis:

Judy Garland returns to London in 1968 to prepare for a comeback concert at the Talk of the Town nightclub. Accompanied by her new, young fiance Mickey Deans and her loyal pianist, Anthony, Garland is struggling to stay sober and afraid to perform without drugs and alcohol. As the stress builds and her demons reappear, Garland must decide for herself the best way to get through the ordeal.

End of the Rainbow includes performances of famous Judy Garland songs, sung by the phenomenal Lynda Harvey. Songs include, The Man That Got Away, Come Rain or Come Shine, and of course, Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
