Johns Island Man Accused of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor
A Johns Island man required to register as a sex offender has been charged in a new sexual assault case.

A Johns Island man is facing charges of criminal sexual conduct with a 13-year-old, according to a Charleston County Sheriff's Office statement.
Johnny T. Brown, 33, of 708 Hughes Road, Johns Island was charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor around 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, according to the statement.
Deputies responded to MUSC around 1:30 a.m. June 21 where the victim was receiving treatment for the alleged sexual assault. The alleged crime took place during the evening of Thursday, June 20 while the victim's mother was away from their Camp Road home. When she returned she was told about the sexual assault and took the 13-year-old victim to the hospital, according to the statement.
Brown is required to register as a sex offender due to a previous conviction of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, according to charging documents provided by the Sheriff's Office.Â
