Kiawah Voted a Top 10 Island

Readers of Conde Nast Traveller are sending more love to the Lowcountry, naming two South Carolina sea islands among the Top 10 in the United States.

Kiawah Island was ranked number 3 by Conde Nast readers with an overall score of 88 out of 100 based on several factors. Kiawah got highest marks for scenery, ambiance and lodging.

Hilton Head Island was ranked number 8 overall with a composite score of 82.4. Its highest marks came in activities, scenery and bodging.

Several of the other spots on the list went to various islands in the Hawaiian chain, though three other East coast locales made the list as well.
