Lindsey Graham Challenger In Lowcountry on Saturday

Richard Cash, the only confirmed challenger to Sen. Lindsey Graham on the GOP side, will be in the Lowcountry on Saturday.

He'll be at Northwoods Baptist Church at 7 pm in North Charleston. The event is free of charge and open to the public. Prior to the event Cash will meet with local political leaders to discuss his candidacy. 

Cash, who has been a candidate for more than two months, will have to appeal beyond his Upstate base on Anderson County, if he is to seriously challenge the better-funded and better-known Graham.

Thus far, Cash has been critical of Graham from the right, hoping to appeal to those dissatisfied with the two-term Senator.

Nancy Mace, a Lowcountry businesswoman is also weighing a challenge to Graham, as is State Sen. Lee Bright (R - Spartanburg).
