Offshore Search Comes Up Empty
Report of a possible body in the water sent searchers from several agencies offshore Sunday

Searchers with the U.S. Coast Guard, the Charleston County Sheriff's Office Marine Patrol, Isle of Palms, Sullivan's Island and the Charleston County Volunteer Rescue Squad came up empty Sunday after receiving a report about the possibility of a body in the water.
A boater contacted the Coast Guard around 4:30 p.m. Sunday after spotting what he thought might have been a body in the water 2-3 miles out from Breech Inlet, according to a Charleston County Sheriff's Office statement.
Upon searching the area where the boater spotted the object, search crews were unable to locate anything.
