A school bus overturned on Dupont Road near Dulsey Road around 8:30 a.m. Friday sending the driver and five of the eight students on board to area hospitals.
The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash was also transported to a hospital, according to a statement from Charleston Police Department Public Information Officer Charles Francis.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

The Charleston County School District has notified the parents of all students involved, according to spokesman Jason Sakran.
